No extra software is needed, and it works over the local network using Box-2-Box (Peer-to-Peer) communication.SensDesk portals can also use SMS-GW3 for alerting, as long as the gateway is accessible to the portal (either through a VPN or a public IP address).For third-party users, the SMS-GW can be handy for alerting through the SNMP interface.
